Alvin Pederson

Alvin Edgar Pederson, 97, of Osseo, died Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at MCHS – Oakridge in Osseo.
Alvin was born May 15, 1919 in Eau Claire to Ingvald and Tilly (Torpen) Pederson. He married Doris Timm on October 9, 1943 at Eleva Lutheran Church Parsonage. She preceded him in death on October 2, 2014.
Alvin farmed in the Town of Pleasant Valley, Eau Claire County and worked at Gillette Tire (Uniroyal) and Presto Industries in Eau Claire. He later worked as a custodian for the Osseo–Fairchild school system. After he retired he worked for Green Thumb of Trempealeau County for several years.
Alvin enjoyed spending time with his loving family and different woodworking projects. He was a man of many talents and was always willing to lend a hand to his neighbors when needed.
Alvin is survived by his son Lester of Eau Claire; granddaughter, Shannon Hasz of Osseo; grandson, Shawn Pederson of Altoona; five great grandchildren, Jamie, Jordyn and Shawn V. Pederson and Kendra and Kaden Hasz; four sisters-in-law, Bernice Arneson of Eau Claire, Norma Rud of Eleva, Beverly DeBusman of Eau Claire and Sandra Schuch of Eleva; three brothers-in-law, Donald (Marge) Timm of Eleva, Orville Timm of Cedar Falls, IA and Robert (Joan) Timm of Eleva; several nieces, nephews many friends.
In addition to his wife, Alvin was preceded in death by his parents Ingvald and Tilly; one brother, Leonard Pederson; three sisters, Hazel Pederson, Mabel Norheim and Esther Pederson.
Memorial services will be 11 a.m., Thursday, September 15, 2016 at Osseo Evangelical Lutheran Church in Osseo. Rev. Terry Lorenz will officiate.
Friends may call from 10:00 AM until the time of services at the church on Thursday.
