Donald "Don” Corcoran died peacefully at Dove Healthcare Center on October 22, 2018 in Osseo,WI at the age of 88.
Don is survived by wife, Helen; children, Donna (Keith) Kronberger, Mara (Rick) Rogness and Paul (Tammy) Corcoran; grandchildren, Don (Jenny -fiancé) Rogness, Ben (Amber) Corcoran, Kyle (Julie) Rogness, James Corcoran, Nathaniel Corcoran, Luke Kronberger, Rebecca Corcoran, Sadie Corcoran; great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Corcoran, John Rogness, Brayden Corcoran, Blake Rogness, Will Rogness.
He is preceded in death by parents, Harry and Genevieve (Schaper) Corcoran; brothers, Robert and Thomas.
A native of Los Angeles, Don served his country as an MP in the 8th Army Headquarters, Korea, from 1951-1953. Following his service, he married Helen Hagen, a co-worker at Halliburton Enterprise, and moved to a home in the Long Beach area. Over the first 13 years, the couple welcomed Donna, Mara and Paul before moving their family from California to Wisconsin. For 30 years, Don worked as an accomplished sheet metal worker with knowledge in all phases of sheet metal work. He was a craftsman who loved to understand the background behind the fabrication a variety of manufactured products. His creativity extended to producing many wooden treasures from his workshop.
Visitation at 10 AM, Funeral at 11 AM at St. Raymond of Peñafort Parish with a reception following on October 26, 2018. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Don's life. In lieu of flowers, all memorials will be directed to The Highground veterans memorial located Neillsville, WI in memory of Don. The family would like to thank the staff of Mayo Clinic, Dove Healthcare and Heartland Hospice for their compassion.
