Eleanor Hoff

Eleanor Martha Hoff, 88, of Osseo, died Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Dove Healthcare in Osseo.
Eleanor was born March 29, 1929, on the family farm in the Town of Northfield, Jackson County, to Oscar and Martha (Nyseth) Vesta. She was baptized and confirmed at Pigeon Creek Evangelical Lutheran Church in Pigeon Falls.
Eleanor attended Timber Creek Elementary School and graduated from Whitehall High School in 1947. She then attended Eau Claire State Teacher’s College and worked as a teacher’s aide at Osseo-Fairchild Elementary School for twenty-six years.
Eleanor married Gilman Hoff on June 2, 1951 at Pigeon Creek Evangelical Lutheran Church. Gilman preceded her in death on January 30, 1989.
Eleanor is survived by her son, Allen (Kathleen) Hoff of Sparta; daughters, Linda (Michael) Eder of Elk Mound and Mary (Scott) Sisko of Athens; four grandchildren, Emily Eder, Isaac Sisko, Elizabeth (Nicholas) Patchen and Ethan Sisko.
In addition to her husband, Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Martha; brother, Irvin Vesta; sister, Helen Amundson.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 22, 2017, at South Beef River Lutheran Church, rural Osseo. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Friends may call from 10 a.m., until the time of services on Friday at the church.
Schiefelbein Funeral Home in Osseo is assisting the family.
