Gary Kaurich

Ronald Gary Kaurich was born in Milwaukee, WI on December 22, 1943 and died on Thursday, January 4, 2018. He was the fourth son of Stanley and Mary (Kempf) Kaurich, and was the brother of Dennis (deceased), Jack (deceased), Stan, Mary, Mimi, and Dolly.
He was married on May 24, 1976 at Chapel of the Bells in Las Vegas to his beloved wife and best friend Linda (Kaas). He was the father of three, Liz (Jason), Jed (Jessica), and Josh (Jennifer), and grandfather to eight grandchildren: Isla, Alaina, Ian, Teagan, Decker, Paxton, Wyatt, and Jasmine (deceased).
Gary (aka: Daddio, Grandpa, or Ernie) worked as a humble and hardworking man who selflessly put his family and others ahead of himself. After marriage, Linda and Gary bought a farm and moved to Osseo where dad joyfully stayed home to raise both his boys until they went to public school. He loved animals and cared dearly about the environment and the world around him, choosing to raise hogs to supplement the family income. He was a jolly, colorful, and humorous man who bettered the world with his pleasant demeanor and spirit.
Gary was involved extensively within the church over his several decades of attendance. He was an avid fisherman who loved the peace and serenity of being on the water with his family and friends. In the kitchen, Gary was an amazing cook who always knew how to entertain and bring people together with his God given gift. He enjoyed visiting family and friends while also sipping a cold water while sitting on the deck of their farm overlooking the countryside with his dog Mya by his side.
When he went home to be with the Lord he was at peace and surrounded by his wife and sons at his bedside in his own bed on his beloved farm in Osseo. In some of his last words to his family he shared his readiness to “go home” as a testament to his peace and belief.
A celebration of his life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at South Beef River Lutheran Church (N12798 Old 27 Rd., Osseo, WI 54758). A visitation will be held on Tuesday January 9, 2018 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Schiefelbein Funeral Home (13507 7th St, Osseo, WI 54758).
