Ione E. Vold

Ione E. Vold, 95, of Osseo, WI, passed away Sunday, February 5, 2017, at Dove Health Care Center, Osseo, WI. She was born October 8, 1921.
Ione attended 2 years of school at the Riverview School and then moved to Osseo where she continued school through her 2nd year of High School. She worked different jobs in Eau Claire and worked in Milwaukee, WI for 3 years after which she moved back to Osseo and married Earl Ross and had a son.
Ione worked at the Osseo Bakery and at the Egg Station in Osseo.
On April 11, 1953, she was united in marriage to Harris Vold and had a daughter. They farmed in Golden Valley and later moved to Racine, WI. In Racine, she was a nurse’s aide at St. Mary’s Hospital. They then moved back to Osseo where they had the Carpet and Furniture Cleaners business for a number of years. Later on Ione worked at the Osseo High School until her retirement in 1981.
Ione was an avid bowler and golfer for many years. She was a member of the American Legion Post 324 Auxiliary of Osseo.
Ione is survived by her 2 children, Peter (Peggy) Vold of Racine, WI, and Susan (Wally) Kierstyn of Osseo; 5 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; sister, Pansy Loken of Osseo; niece, nephew, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her Husband, Harris; parents.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 11, 2017, 11:00 a.m., at the United Church of Christ-Congregational, Osseo. Burial will follow in Osseo Cemetery, Osseo.
Family and friends are invited for visitation Friday, February 10, 2017, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Schiefelbein Funeral Home, Osseo.
Family and friends are also invited for visitation Saturday, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral at the church.
Schiefelbein Funeral Home of Osseo is assisting the family with arrangements.
