Kenneth Benjamin Olson, 91, of rural Osseo died on October 1, 2018 at his home, in the care of his family and Heartland Hospice.
Kenneth was born November 22, 1926 to Hilmer and Josephine Emilia (Severson) Olson in the Town of Sumner, rural Osseo.
Kenneth married Constance Peterson on November 7, 1953 and they farmed the Town of Garfield all their married life. Constance preceded him in death on March 1, 1986.
Kenneth was a lifelong member of South Beef River Lutheran Church where he served on several different committees. He also served on the Garfield Town Board and Jackson County Conservation committee.
On August 7, 1997 he married Mabel Engelien of Ettrick. She preceded him in death on July 7, 2001.
Kenneth is survived by two sons, Thomas Olson of Osseo and Charles Olson of Pigeon Falls; two daughters, Judy Olson of Arkansas and Christine (Tim) Gaede of Osseo; seven grandchildren, Charles Olson Jr, Crystal Olson, Steven Olson, Josh Olson, Sarah Olson, Jerome Gaede and Tyler Gaede; eleven great grandchildren. He is further survived by special friend, Gloria Johnson of Osseo; two step-children, John (Mary) Engelien of Wisconsin Rapids and Dorothy (Michael) Borge of Butte, MT, five step-grandchildren and several step-great grandchildren.
In addition to his wives Constance and Mabel, he was preceded in death by a sister, Clarice Hoff and his favorite dog Fannie.
Kenneth was a very caring person and a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at South Beef River Lutheran Church in rural Osseo. Rev. Janelle Harrison will be officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 11:00 until the time of services.
