Loris Ellen Johnson, 92, a lifelong resident of Osseo, died Friday, April 27, 2018 at Dove Healthcare in Osseo.
Loris was born February 15, 1926 on the family farm in rural Osseo to Bert and Evelyn (Anderson) Stubbe. In 1944 she graduated from Lincoln Hill High School in Osseo.
After high school she worked in Milwaukee briefly and then returned to Osseo and worked at Bill Myers egg station. It was there she met her future husband, John Johnson. They were married June 15, 1946 at the United Church of Christ parsonage in Osseo. Together they raised three children, Rene, Ron and Roger.
Loris was an active member of United Church of Christ in Osseo and was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She could always get a baby to sleep when no one else could.
Loris is survived by her children Rene Pooler of Osseo, Ron (Geney) Johnson of Osseo and Roger (Blyann) Johnson of Osseo; five grandchildren, Terry, Robin, Jason, Kayla and Shayne; eight great grandchildren, Tanner, Alexis, Dylan, Alison, Camryn, Camdyn, Havyn and Jerryn; four great-great grandchildren, Izabelle, Kinlee, Dekker and Harper.
In addition to her husband John who died on December 18, 2001, she is preceded in death by her parents Bert and Evelyn and one sister Etheleen Gran.
Memorial services will be 1:15 p.m. Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at United Church of Christ-Congregational in Osseo. Pastor Julie Garber will officiate. Burial will follow in Osseo Cemetery.
Friends may call from 11:00-1:00 p.m. Tuesday at the church.
