Robert (Bob) Durst

Robert Leroy Durst, 83, of Germantown, Wisconsin passed away August 6, 2017 in Osseo, Wisconsin. A service was held in the St. Francis Episcopal church in Menomonee Falls on August 20, 2017. A memorial service will be held in Neillsville, Wisconsin at the American Legion Post 73 on September 9, 2017. Burial will be in the Fairchild, Wisconsin cemetery.
Bob was born January 4, 1934 in Clark County, Wisconsin. His parents were Amy and Virgil Durst of Osseo, Wisconsin. He graduated from Osseo High School, class of 1952. After high school, he moved to Milwaukee with his parents and younger brother Dewayne. Bob served in the U.S. Army Engineer Regiment, receiving his training at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. He was stationed in several places, including many in Asia. After his discharge, Bob worked for the American Can Company for many years as a machinist until his retirement.
Bob married Jeanie Schutte of Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin in 1955. They had three children, Brian, Kevin, and Amy.
Bob and Sandy Tait have been together since 1980 and lived in Germantown, Wisconsin.
Bob will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Virgil and Amy Durst. He is survived by Sandy Tait, his children Brian Durst, from the Atlanta area, Kevin Durst of Sonora, California, Amy Durst, of Kingman, Arizona, and his brother Dewayne and Sue Durst of Independence, Missouri.
