Teresa Thorson

Teresa Lynn Thorson, 49, of rural Osseo, passed away peacefully early Monday morning, Nov. 6, 2017 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire.
Teresa Lynn, daughter of Dianne LeMere and Bill Brown was born March 26, 1968 in Osseo. She was baptized at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Augusta and confirmed at St. John’s Catholic Church in Fall Creek. Teresa was raised in the rural Augusta/Fall Creek area and graduated from Fall Creek High School in 1987. Following graduation she also attended UW River Falls. On Dec. 8, 2001 she was united in marriage to Dale Thorson in Eau Claire. The couple lived in rural Strum until 2008 when they moved to their current home in Clear Creek Township, rural Osseo. For 9 years Teresa had been employed as a bus driver for Eau Claire Student Transit Company.
All her life Teresa had enjoyed showing horses starting with the Fall Creek Friends 4-H Club and was still showing in several states as recent as last year. Due to her failing health she was unable to show this year but still attended as a spectator. She had been active through the years with the Wild Bill’s Riders Club and the Bit and Spur Horse Club. She shared her horse enthusiasm with her daughter and her archery interest and target shooting ability with her son. She was also a very talented seamstress and meticulously sewed all of her horse riding outfits.
Teresa will be dearly missed by her loving husband Dale; 2 children, Cloe and Tylor, both at home; her mother Dianne LeMere of Augusta; father Bill and Bonnie Brown of Augusta; sister, Angie and Dan Lane of Augusta; brothers, Jayme and Mandy LeMere of River Falls, Brett and Shelia Brown of Eau Claire; father-in-law, Thomas Thorson of Eleva; great grandmother, Yvonne Thorson of Mondovi; brother-in-law, Greg and Bobbi Thorson of Bloomer; nieces and nephews, Ashley Mayer, Isabel Lane, Bailey Mayer, Bailey Thorson, Josh Lane, Hannah Thorson and Landon LeMere; several cousins, other relatives and many friends. Teresa was preceded in death by her grandparents, Lionel and Rita LeMere, Jim and Dorothy Brown and mother-in-law, Jane Thorson.
A visitation will be held Saturday, Nov. 11, 2017 from 10 a.m. to noon at St. Raymond of Penafort Catholic Church rural Fall Creek, where services will be held at noon. Burial will be in Holy Guardian Angel Cemetery, rural Fall Creek. The family is assisted by the Anderson Funeral Home in Augusta.
