Ann Elaine (Harschlip) Davis

Ann Elaine (Harschlip) Davis, (age 83) of Eau Claire, WI passed away to her eternal home with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on July 4, 2016. She had resided for 2 years at “Our House - Memory Care for Seniors” in Eau Claire.
Ann was born on May 28, 1933 in Rock Falls, WI.  Her parents were Lavern Charles Harschlip and Bessie Amelia (Hysen) Harschlip.  She was baptized, confirmed, married and memorialized all at Rock Creek Lutheran Church, Rock Falls, Wisconsin. She attended the Rock Falls area country schools (Clark / Thomas), then graduated from Durand High School (Class of 1950).  She worked initially at Tim’s Diary in Eau Claire, later at Sears in Minneapolis, then in North Hollywood, California.  Later, Ann entered (1953) and graduated (1956) from the Lutheran Bible Institute, (LBI) Minneapolis and served churches in Morris Il, Rodondo Beach, Calif and Eau Claire, WI.  Ann and Harold (Hal) Davis had met as students at LBI and they married in 1960.  Hal had entered the Air Force and during the following 21 years, they resided in San Antonio, Tx, Milwaukee, WI, Belleville, IL, Rochester, NY and Washington D.C. Following Hal’s Air Force retirement they lived in McHenry, Il, Ann was a secretary at Baxter Healthcare.  Returning to Eau Claire in 1993, Ann devoted most of her time to Church and family activities. 
Ann is survived by husband Harold - Eau Claire, son Anthony (Mae) - Twin Lakes, WI, grandsons Timothy (23), David (20), Samuel (20), Joseph (16): also siblings Bonnie Jevne of Rock Falls, Nancy Sylte (James) of Eau Claire, Charles Harschlip (Linda) of Rock Falls, Rodney Harschlip (Donna) of Nelson, and Dale Harschlip of Rock Falls, all residents of WI, as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Lavern and Bessie Harschlip; daughter Sarah Lee (McLaughlin),  infant daughter Betsy Louise; and Brother-in-law Eldon Jevne.
Ann was a superb office administrator attending to every detail, assisting and coordinating with co-workers in their tasks.  Her work with church youth led many to pursue ministry or other full time church service.
Ann was a talented artist, working in oils, water colors and other craft mediums.  Her paintings adorn many of our family’ homes.
Our family is indebted and sincerely grateful to the care staff of “Our House” Memory Care for Seniors and the St Croix Hospice for their services and loving care for us during her time of residence.
In lieu of flowers, we request Memorials to Rock Creek Lutheran Church, Rock Falls, WI or, The Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Ave., 7th fl. New York, NY 10001., or your preferred charity.
Memorial services were held at 12 p.m. (noon) on Monday, July 11, 2016 at Rock Creek Lutheran Church, N1101 810th St., Mondovi, WI 54755. Pastor Michelle Nickodemus officiated. Visitation will took place Monday, July 11, 2016 at the church from 10:30 am until the time of the services. Private family inurnment will take place prior to the services in the Rock Falls Cemetery.
