Betty Kay Peterson

Betty Kay Peterson, age 68, of New Richmond, passed away peacefully on April 1, 2015.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Larry; mother Helen; and Father Harry.
Betty was born on July 16, 1946 in Plum City, Wisconsin to parents Harry and Helen (Walvogel) Fredrickson. She graduated from Plum City High School in 1964 and moved to St. Paul, MN. In 1979, Betty united with Larry Peterson. Together they raised their children in Oakdale.
Betty was a very selfless person who was always willing to help and give to others. She loved her family unconditionally, especially her grandchildren. Betty enjoyed cleaning, gardening and spending time at the cabin with her drink in hand.
Betty will forever remain in the hearts of her children, Jayson Fredrickson and Megan Bruce (Jeremy); step children, Christine (Jim) Johnson, Jeffrey (Tracey) Peterson, Becky (Jeff) Eschenbach; grandchildren, Briana, Adam, Mason, Austin, and Alyssa; siblings, Bernard (Karen) Fredrickson, Bonnie Hedrick, and Lois Kinkel; many nieces, nephews and friends.
A casual Memorial Gathering of Family and Friends was held from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home, 520 South 11th Street, Hudson.
