Bruce C. Dunlap

Bruce C. Dunlap passed away last Friday, May 29th. As many know he has been courageously battling Parkinson’s Disease for 14 years, & although it was progressing slowly … it does progress.
In April he fell & broke his hip, spent 3 weeks in rehab and then moved to long term care. With Covid no family members were able to be there for any of these things & he declined rapidly. Last week he was finally able to come home for hospice care & was able to be with family.
Bruce was a gentle and loving man---his sense of humor and playfulness is evident in the artwork that he did. He loved old cars and restored “Curt” his beloved 1951 GMC pickup. He lived and worked in Holland for 30 years and leaves many good friends there as well.
I am grateful for the 23 years of time together with this loving and generous man – he will be missed.
Survivors include his wife Linda Day Dunlap, his brother Walt (Kathy) of St. Paul; 3 step-children Nichole (Peter), Sandra, Daan; and his niece Melissa.
Arrangements are with the Benson & Langehough Funeral Home. www.northfieldfuneral.com
