Earl Ludwig Anderson

Earl Ludwig Anderson, age 91, died Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2017 at Pepin Health and Rehab. He was born January 2, 1926, son of Ludwig and Ellen (Bergstrom) Anderson. He graduated from Pepin High School and Wisconsin State College River Falls. He was married June 2, 1951 to LaVey Setterlund and adopted both son, Jon and daughter, Mary.
He worked for 23 years as Executive Director at Pepin and then Pierce County ASCS offices. Following retirement he worked as a local handyman and carpenter. He was involved with 4-H, Sabylund Lutheran Church, Stockholm Institute, Pepin Co. Democrats and Wis. Land Trust. His hobbies and interests included working with wood, skiing, farming, gardening, reading books, history, feeding birds, hunting and traveling. For decades a local wood carving group met at his home.
He was preceded in death by: wife LaVey, son Jon, daughter Mary, sisters Evelyn Moline and Corinne LeBeau, and brother Glen Anderson. He is survived by sister-in-law Kathy Morth, cousins and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, October 28, 2017 at Sabylund Lutheran Church, rural Stockholm. Visitation 1 hour prior to 2:00 PM service. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Sabylund Lutheran Church.
