Ellen F. Wieck
Ellen F. Wieck, age 98 of Durand, died peacefully Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at Plum City Care Center in Plum City.
Ellen enjoyed singing with the Lima Church polka choir, playing the organ, dancing, crocheting, trips with her nephew Tom Evans and spending time reading with her companion, Galen Kees. She also had a special place in her heart for her cats.
Ellen is survived by two daughters Judith Fabisch of Palipol India and Sandra (Gary) Grundman of Fall Creek, WI; three grandchildren, Kym (Randy) Hofstetter of Weyauwega WI, William Hackner of Kalispell MT and Scott Fabisch residing in Japan; 7 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and special friends Tammy and Joe Caturia.
She is preceded in death by her parents; Charles and Florence (Poquette) St. Peter, one sister; Gloria Evans, her first husband; Gerhardt Wollman and second husband Harold Wieck, one granddaughter; Corrinna Lauterbach.
Celebration of Life will be held from 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM Friday, February 17, 2017 at the Rhiel Funeral Home in Durand. Burial will follow in the Holy Rosary Catholic Church-Lima in Durand.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Pepin County Humane Society in Ellen’s name.
