Jeffrey Allen Rhoades

Jeffrey Allen Rhoades, age 53, of Pepin, Wisconsin and formally of Marshfield died unexpectedly on July 9, 2018 near Rhinelander while enjoying a weekend at his parents’ cabin with family. Jeff was born on September 4, 1964 in Wadena, MN to Jerry and Connie Rhoades. Jeff was a 1984 graduate of Marshfield Senior High where he enjoyed playing football and wrestling.
Jeff spent his life serving people. He joined the U.S. Army in 1986. He helped people as a nursing assistant and for the past many years, he made friendships and served people as a bartender. Jeff was known for his smile, hugs, generosity and caring personality, as well as his exaggerated story telling. He loved fishing, golfing, jet skiing, travelling, music and his pets, especially Freddie. Jeff enjoyed watching the Packers, Brewers and Badgers. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Jeff is survived by his parents, Jerry and Connie Rhoades, Spencer; his siblings Jenny (Randy) Kohls, Marshfield, Jim Rhoades (Lisa Graham), Marshfield; and Joel (Jackie) Rhoades, Spring Green. He is also survived by his grandmother, Doris Grant, Sebeka, MN and his beloved niece and nephews, Holly (Jon), Trevor (Amanda Weyer),Seth, Rece and Eliot and his great niece, Addisyn. Jeff is further survived by his girlfriend, Brittany Dondlinger, aunts, uncles, cousins, and numerous friends.
A memorial service was held at 11:00 am Monday, July 16, 2018 at the Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home, 1010 East Veterans Parkway, Marshfield. Visitation was held from 9:30 am until the time of the memorial Monday at the funeral home.
A memorial will be held at a later date also in Pepin, WI.
