Joshua William Talford

Joshua William Talford, age 21 of Rock Falls, died unexpectedly Tuesday, January 31, 2017 in Eau Claire.
Josh was born on February 28, 1995 in Eau Claire. He was the son of Richard and Kathryn (Jones) Talford. Josh grew up and lived in the Rock Falls area his whole life. He graduated from Durand High School in 2014. While in school, Josh was on the cross country and track team. After high school, Josh attended Chippewa Valley Technical College for computer software development.
Josh was always making people smile and laugh. He will be most remembered for his witty and sharp sense of humor. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing video games, going running and hanging out with friends. Josh was a gentle, kind, and loving soul, and will be greatly missed.
Josh is survived by his parents; Rick and Kathy of Rock Falls, siblings; Nick of Rock Falls, Beth (Corey) Knoepke of Mondovi, Jake of Eau Claire and Grace of Rock Falls, one nephew; Michael Knoepke, maternal grandparents; Keith and Donna Jones of Chippewa Falls, a great grandmother, many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents; Elton and Goldie Talford and his great grandparents.
Memorial Services were held at 11:00 AM, Monday, February 6, 2017 at Rock Creek Lutheran Church in Rock Falls, with Rev. Mary Eide officiating. Visitation was Sunday from 12:00 PM Noon until 4:00 PM at the Rhiel Funeral Home in Durand, and one hour prior to services at the church on Monday.
