Melissa Jean Retzloff, age 41, of Colfax, WI passed away Sunday, June 12, 2016 at home.
Melissa was born June 17, 1974 in Amery, WI to Kevin and Loretta (Bauer) Retzloff. She graduated from Glenwood City High School in 1995.
Melissa had many friends and enjoyed spending time at Aurora Day Center. She also loved spending time with her family, looking at books, watching birds, sunflowers, eating mac-n-cheese and ice cream, country music, cats, her guinea pig “Smore”, and her zoo of stuffed animals.
Melissa is survived by her parents, Kevin and Loret Retzloff; sisters and brother, Michelle (Todd) Poeschel, Jim Retzloff (Katy Anderson), Amanda (Dan) Hanson, Beth (Derrik) Chilson; nieces and nephews, Evan, Ava and Ryan Poeschel and Zach Chilson; paternal grandmother, Donna Retzloff; she is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Richard Retzloff; and maternal grandparents, Wilfred H. and Margaret Bauer.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10:15 a.m. Friday, June 17, 2016 at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie with Father James Kurzynski officiating. There will be visitation at the funeral home from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Following the service there will be a luncheon at Elk Point Resort, N8535 618th St. Colfax, WI 54730.
