Pamela Bertha “Pam” Gansluckner
Pamela Bertha “Pam” Gansluckner, age 82 of Plum City, died Thursday, August 13, 2026 at the Plum City Care Center in Plum City with her family by her side.
Pam was born at home on December 14, 1943, in Town of Lima, rural Durand, Wisconsin. She was the sixth child born to Allie F. and Marion (Komro) Bauer. On September 7, 1963, Pam married Tony Gansluckner, and together they built a life rooted in faith, family, hard work, and love. They farmed in Plum City and raised their four children: Todd, Cindy, Troy, and Kim. Over the years, Pam and Tony also opened their hearts and home to several foster children, some of whom remained in contact with the family throughout the years.
Pam had a creative spirit and a gift for making things beautiful. She was an excellent seamstress, sewing clothing for Barbie dolls and GI Joes that she sold through the mail and at craft shows. Her talents extended into many forms of crafting, and she was always creating special pieces to display both inside and outside her home. Pam worked alongside Tony on the farm for many years, and once the children were in school, she began working at a floral shop in Red Wing. She later opened her own floral business on the farm, converting the basement into Flowers by Pam.
In 1990, Pam and Tony sold the dairy farm and built a home outside of town that included a dedicated space for Flowers by Pam. Her business grew beyond beautiful wedding flowers to include wedding planning, invitations, church decorations, bridal veils, and even consignment bridesmaid and mother-of-the-bride dresses. Pam was also a Master Gardener who loved all forms of gardening and took great joy in raising flowers. She had a deep love for animals, especially cats, and was an avid reader. One of her favorite books was Gone with the Wind, which she read many times. When the movie aired on television, watching it became a cherished family tradition.
Pam is survived by her loving husband, Tony; her children, Todd (Tammy), Cindy (Greg) Erickson, Troy (Rhonda), and Kim (Roy) Raethke; and the children she welcomed into her heart and home, Pauline Beiderman and Dennis O’Keefe. She dearly loved her grandchildren, Tony (Anna), Ashley (Joel), Spencer (Katie), Mitchell (Brianna), Kyle (Bryttany), McKenzie (Jack), Noah (Mikinzie), Keagan (Tanner), Elijah, and Sawyer, as well as her 11 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers, Duane and Loran (Peggy), sisters-in-law, Darleen Bauer and Nancy Bauer and along with many other relatives and friends.
Pam was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Bonnie Becker; and her brothers, Jerry, John, Larry, and Randy. She was also preceded in death by her brothers-in-law, Merlin Becker, and her sisters-in-law, Marie Bauer, Carol Bauer and Arlene Bauer.
The family is deeply grateful for the loving care and attention Pam received from the staff at Plum City Care Center and St. Croix Hospice, especially for the comfort and compassion shown to her in her final days.
Memorial Mass will be 11:00AM Wednesday, August 19, 2026 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plum City with Rev. Kurt Apfelbeck officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. A visitation will be held from 10:00AM until the time of services at the church. A Celebration of Life will be held immediately after at Molly’s on Main.
Memorials are preferred to the Plum City Library or St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Pam’s name. The church nourished our souls, and the library, our minds.
