Raymond Charles Lee (63) of Durand, WI died Sunday, January 4, 2015 at Chippewa Valley Hospital in Durand. He was born January 25, 1951 in Durand; son of Theodore & Helen (Nowak) Lee. Ray graduated from Durand High School in 1969. Following graduation he worked for Durand Canning Company, Wayne Saw Mill, and later worked in maintenance at Luther/Midlefort in Eau Claire until his retirement in 2004.
On December 28, 1991 he married Phyllis Hovland. He enjoyed joking around, playing poker on the computer, spending time outdoors mowing and watching animals in the yard. Ray enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Lee of Durand; daughters, Cassidy Lee of Durand and Lisa (Bobby) Seipel of Stockholm; grandchildren, Kadisha and Nathan Seipel, Shelby, Cody and Emily Rathbun; brother, George (Kathy) Lee of Durand; sister, Beverly (John) Kees of River Falls; nephews and niece, Andy Lee, Ted Lee, John Kees and Kathy Kees. He is preceded in death by his parents, Theodore & Helen (Nowak) Lee and daughter, Stephanie Rathbun.
Memorial services will be held 2:00 p.m .Thursday, January 8, 2015 at Goodrich Funeral Home in Durand with Pastor Lisa Weaver officiating. Burial will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Durand.
