William “Bill” Lutz

William “Bill” Lutz died Tuesday, December 15th, 2020 in his daughter’s home in Central Point, Oregon, after a battle with cancer. He was 92 years old.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Marlos; 4 children, Fred (Jackie) of Eau Claire, WI; Wayne (Cheryl) of Colfax, WI; Kathy (Mike) Kolatski of Renton, WA; Sharon (Allen) Melendy of Central Point, OR; 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and 3 sisters: Pat of Galesville, WI; Bonnie of Trempealeau, WI; Delores of Rochester, MN.
Bill and Marlos lived in the Plum City area for almost 60 years. He was active in the Pierce County Snowmobile Council for many years. He was employed by Link Brothers during the construction of the dam at Nugget Lake. He also welded and operated heavy construction equipment for R.M. Schlosser Construction. He retired from the Plum City School District in 1991.
Bill was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed riding snowmobiles and motorcycles into his late 60s. He also enjoyed woodworking and reading.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Anna & Fred, sister Betty, brothers Roger & Jim, grandson Gregory and daughter-in-law Amy.
A private family memorial will be held in Oregon next year.
