Kathleen “Kathy” Marie Lammers

Kathleen “Kathy” Marie Lammers, 76, of Wabasha, passed away on Friday, October 20, 2023, at her home with her family by her side. She was born August 7, 1947, in Plainview to Marvin and Irene (Harcey) Becker. Kathy attended school in Plainview, graduating in 1965 from Plainview High School. On September 17, 1966, she married the love of her life, Donald Lammers at St. Joachim’s Catholic Church in Plainview.
Kathy lived her lifetime in the Elgin, Plainview, and Wabasha area, where she cared for children in her Day Care that she ran for 30 years. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed sharing her baked goods with family and friends. Over the years she collected many cookbooks, loved to collect different Santa’s, enjoyed watching the birds, and loved going rummage sales with family and friends.
Kathy is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Donald Lammers of Wabasha; a son, Chris (Terresa) Lammers of Elgin; a daughter, Melissa (Nicholas) Ozment of Plainview; four grandchildren, Tanner, Logan, Irelyn, and Landon, and one great-grandchild, Lainey; and a brother, Graylen Becker of Rochester. She was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother Marlin (Butch) Becker.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, November 1, at 11:00 a.m. at Schleicher Funeral Homes, Plainview Chapel with Pastor Abigail Ozanne officiating. Burial will follow the service at the Elgin Cemetery. Friends and family may visit from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 31 at the Schleicher Funeral Homes, Plainview and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
