Alia (Deborah) Ann Tlougan
Alia (Deborah) Ann Tlougan, 74, passed away on July 9, 2026 in Sedona, Arizona surrounded by her family and friends.
Born in Wabasha, Minnesota to Kenneth and Lois Tlougan, Alia grew up with her seven siblings on a dairy farm near Plainview. She graduated from Plainview High School in 1970 and attended RCTC.
She raised her sons in Minnesota until 1998 when she moved to Sedona, Arizona with her two youngest boys. By then her older sons were independent young men. She grew to love the Sedona area and the lifestyle it provided.
In addition to parenting, Alia had experiences at a variety of jobs. She worked in food service, massage therapy and at KBS while in Minnesota. In Sedona, she worked driving a jeep as a tour guide, as well as a concierge at a local hotel. She helped foreign exchange students find home placements while employed by Verde Valley School. More recently, she helped others with their pets by dog walking and house sitting. She didn’t hesitate to try new things.
Alia had many interests and hobbies. She loved being outdoors. She walked daily and hiked in the desert and mountains near her home. She fed her love for color by quilting, working with stained glass, creating beautiful jewelry with beads and collecting leaded glass vases and quartz crystals. Photography was her favorite hobby. She enjoyed capturing photos of her family and of the red rocks of the Arizona landscapes. She carried a large camera everywhere. For adventure she rode her Harley Davidson motorcycle. Her longer trips included the trek to Sturgis, SD. On a regular basis she invited her friends and neighbors into her home for food, fellowship and card games. Alia was a kind and creative person.
Alia is survived by her four sons, Kyle Anderson (Anne Mandarino) of Plainview, Eric Anderson (Lisa Richardson) of Cape Coral, Florida, Neil Yarolimek of Theilman, Lee Yarolimek (Lauren) of Wilmington, North Carolina; her grandchildren Heath, Jayden, Dalton and Seth; her sisters Carol Marshman, Gwen Ahern (Tim); her brothers Greg Tlougan, Kevin Tlougan (Michele), Owen Tlougan (Donna) and Ben Tlougan (Betty).
She was preceded in death by her parents, her step-father, Bob Carter, her brother-in-law, Michael Marshman, and her brother, Ken Tlougan.
A celebration of life will be held on July 31, 2026 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the
