Immanuel Lutheran School celebrates our Veterans

Staff, students, and visitors gathered at the IL Christian Life Center for a Veterans Day program The Plainview American Legion Color Guard presented the colors for the event. Vietnam War Veteran Buzz Christison was the keynote speaker. Buzz delivered an appropriate heartfelt speech about Veterans, their service and sacrifices that they made to their country. “Look around you, take notice, these people that are helping or protecting you are everywhere... They deserve to have your verbal gratitude, and more than just once a year.” he said. He continued, “I am going to ask all of you that when the Star Spangled Banner is played, shut your mouth, put your hand over your heart,find the flag and think about what that old marine that talked to me was doing in Viet Nam every Friday morning.
