Jane Ellen (Webster) Klassen

Jane Ellen (Webster) Klassen, 78, of Plainview, MN passed away on October 19th, 2025, with her children by her side.
She was born on January 9th, 1947, to Gerald and Irene (Schultz) Webster. She grew up on the family farm with her 3 brothers and helped tend to the house and kept track of her older and younger siblings. She graduated in 1964 from John Marshall High School and during her free time could be found dancing with her friends, where she met her future husband, Jim.
Jane married Jim Klassen on April 4th, 1964. Together they had 3 children and were married for 60 years. From her 3 children came many grandchildren and great grandchildren, which she most enjoyed watching grow up. Jane played an important role alongside Jim on the farm and was consistently found milking cows, feeding chickens and doing many other chores with the horses, sheep, ducks, geese, pigs and of course the emus they had. She was well known in her community, always finding someone to talk to when out and about. She was also notoriously known as the “Egg Lady”, also delivering eggs to multiple restaurants in Rochester over the years. Jane also had worked at Lanning’s Food Center and the Midway Club for many years.
Jane always enjoyed her time visiting with others. Whether it was time with friends, playing cards, baking sweets with her grandchildren, going to concerts or sporting events or enjoying time with her family at holidays, birthdays and weddings. It was rare to find her house empty without a visitor. Her house was open to anyone who needed it. Many family holidays were spent in her home.
Jane spent many of her later years taking care of her husband. After he passed, she fought a strong battle in her own health. Her children and family cared for her and helped her be at home as long as she could. She loved having visitors. She passed in peace and without pain.
She is survived by her three children, Sherri (Jeff) Norton, Brenda (Tony) Burke, and Jason (Tara) Klassen, all of rural Plainview. Grandchildren, Anton (Kelsey), McKenzie, McCaleb, Tyler (Kelli), Nolan (Tayler), Morgan (Riley), Veda and Lincoln, and her great-grandchildren, Taylee, Chloe, Marshall, Tucker, Charlotte, Greta, Stevie, Walker, Libbie, Violet and Jett. She is survived by her older brother, John Webster. Her sister-in-law Lucille Webster. She also loved her inherited daughter, Angie (Johnson) Connelly.
She was met in heaven by her loving husband, parents, her older brother, her younger brother and sister-in-law.
