Jerald Koelsch
Jerald Koelsch, 60, passed away Thursday, November 26, 2015 at his home in Pine Island, MN. Jerald enjoyed being with family, especially his grandchildren, classic car shows, gardening, fishing, hunting, and camp fires. He loved living on the farmstead where he grew up and enjoyed the country life. He graduated from Pine Island High School in 1974. He worked at Pine Plating, Mayo Clinic, Fleet Farm and most recently at CarQuest. Jerald was joined in marriage to Monica Taubel on July 2, 1977 at Immaculate Conception Church, Kellogg, MN. Survivors are wife Monica (Taubel) Koelsch; daughter Kathleen (Philip) Hughes, Rochester, MN; son Adam (Mindy) Koelsch, Emmons MN; daughter Kristina (Sean) Kraushaar, Glenville MN; sister Judy (Joe) Erm, Minnetonka, MN; brother James (Linda) Koelsch, Oronoco, MN; brother Paul (Nancy) Hegreberg, Halstad, MN; 5 grandchildren: Lexi, Hailey and Elizabeth Koelsch, Robert and David Hughes, step-grandson Justin Henschel. He was preceded in death by daughter Pamela Koelsch, step granddaughter Chloe Henschel, and his parents Charlie and Lula Koelsch. The funeral Mass was held at 11 AM, Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2015 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Pine Island, with Father Randal Kasel officiating. The Rosary was recited at 3:30 PM followed by Visitation on Monday, Nov. 30, 2015, from 4 PM to 7 PM at Mahn Family Funeral Home — Mahler Chapel in Pine Island and visitation was held one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.
