Looking into the future
Plainview City Hall is in need of several updates—including new lighting. The Plainview Police Department, located inside of city hall, is getting crowded, making it difficult for staff to be able to work in the existing space and adequately house equipment. The Plainview Municipal Liquor Store’s building is in need of repairs as well.
And while there are no definitive plans of action set to take place to address any of those issues in 2018 or maybe even 2019 or 2020, City Administrator Clarissa Hadler gauged council members’ opinions on the city buildings and the potential future options surrounding the buildings to get a better understanding of what to focus on moving forward during a work session after
