Robert “Bob” John Ellinghuysen

Robert “Bob” John Ellinghuysen, 60, of Plainview, passed away on Thursday, May 9, 2024, at the Green Prairie Rehabilitation Center in Plainview. He was born on October 1, 1963, in Wabasha to Franklin and Bernadine (Kronebusch) Ellinghuysen. Bob grew up in the Plainview area and graduated from Plainview Community School in 1982.
Bob was the owner and operator of RNT Trucking in Plainview, which he took great pride in. He also was employed by Wescott’s Orchard in Elgin for 15 years. Bob enjoyed spending his free time fishing, hunting, and gopher trapping. He loved to spend time with his children and his grandson, they were the light of his life. He was a former member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Plainview.
Bob is survived by his two children, Anthony Ellinghuysen and Raelin Ellinghuysen both of Plainview; one grandson, Waylon; his parents, Frank and Bernadine Ellinghuysen of Plainview; his siblings, Brian (Stephanie) Ellinghuysen of Kellogg, James “Jim” Ellinghuysen of Zumbrota, Janet (Tom Burton) McGuire of Plainview, and Sherri (Tim) Mulholland of Zumbrota. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, and niece, Josie.
The family would like to thank Dr. Wintheiser, Dr. Carabenciov, Dr. Clarke, Green Prairie Rehabilitation Center, and Mayo Hospice for the wonderful care given to Bob.
A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Saturday, May 18, from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. at Schleicher Funeral Homes, Plainview Chapel.
