Local angler wins Tournament of Champions
Brent Haimes was in eighth or ninth place on Aug. 8 after the first day of the Minnesota BASS Nation Tournament of Champions on Island Lake Reservoir near Duluth.
But the Plainview native was the only angler to bring in a limit of bass on each day of the two-day event - and he won, earning a trip to the regional tournament in 2020.
