Harassment complaint lodged at Trempealeau County Board Chairman by county employee

WHITEHALL - Trempealeau County Highway Commissioner Al Rinka has reportedly filed a harassment complaint against Trempealeau County Board President Tim Zeglin after he claimed Zeglin defamed both himself and Trempealeau County Director of Tourism and Economic Development Rob Grover at a recent county highway commission meeting.

Grover reportedly said he considering filing a complaint himself to the county's human resource department.

Zeglin reportedly accused both Rinka and Grover of "acting as lobbyists" for groups looking to have unlimited access to county highways for ATV/UTA traffic. Many people reportedly attending the commission meeting to voice their opinions on the subject which Rinka and Grover objected to.

The commission's recommendation to the county board is to amend the county's ordinance on ATV/UTV traffic to eliminate re-certification of existing ATV/UTV routes without expanding their usage across the county. The county board's next meeting is Monday, Jan. 27.
