Jackson County votes to use Ho-Chunk fund for communication effort on new jail

BLACK RIVER FALLS - The Jackson County Board of Supervisors voted 15-3 in favor of a plan to spend no more than $150,000 for a communication effort on a new jail plan for the county during its June meeting held back on the 20th.
The money for this effort, to exceed no more $150,000, will come out of the Ho-Chunk Funds. The county will work with the the Samuels Group, a construction company based out of Wausau specializing in government, healthcare, commercial and education building projects.
The board also approved the addition of the behavioral health social worker position and changes to that job description.
