O-F School Board reviews AGR report
OSSEO - The Osseo-Fairchild School Board reviewed the its Achievement Gap Reduction (AGR) report at its June meeting held back on the 13th.
The report showed, overall, a growth in proficiency on subjects such as math and reading for Grades 2-5 from the 2020-21 school year with the hope to see more improvement for grades K-1. Closing academic gaps due to the shutdown and move to virtual learning due to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.
The board unanimously revisions to the long-term capital improvement plan for the district due to rising costs from inflation. They also approved the preliminary budget for the 2022-23 school year.
In other agenda items: the board unanimously approved: memberships in WASB, the WIAA and AEF organizations, early release days in 2022-23, Neola Board Policy Updates; cooperative agreements with other school districts for library media specialist and reading specialist.
An agenda item on a four year-old kindergarten program for the district was tabled until the July meeting this Monday, the 11th at 7 p.m.
The board went into closed session on topics of employment compensation and a special leave request. No action was taken on the first measure and leave was granted in the second matter.
The following resignations and hires were unanimously approved: Resignations - Sue Fox, Clerical; Alyssa Hillestad, Food Service; Nick Seichter, Teacher and JV Baseball Coach; Todd Fischer, Middle School Football Coach; Joe Phillips, Middle School Football Coach; Chad Frase, Softball Head Coach; Dan Schulte, Assistant Football Coach. Hires - Elissa Granger, Middle School Math; John Baker, High School Math; Mackenzie Shay, High School Forensics; Joe Phillips, National Honor Society. Harold Mulhern was named a boys and girls high school basketball volunteer coach.
