Strum Village Board deals with water and sewer topics
STRUM - The Strum Village Board discussed and approved motions on topics related to water and sewer services at its May meeting held back on the 10th
The board unanimously approved sending the annual sewer and water report to the DNR while also agreeing to look at project to extend water and sewer service to the Schiefelbein’s property on Elm St..
In regards to zoning, the board unanimously approved an addition to Shawn Peil's garage on Oak St., approved a fence project for Donna Byington on 3rd Avenue while saying a permit was not needed for a 12x14 garden shed for Jeff and Jennifer Engum 4th Ave.
The board approved a proposal to have the village office closed on Fridays during the summer due to lack of traffic and to have employees use vacation time.
This was the start of a new term for the board and all committee assignments, board and commission appointments and official declarations for such things as depositories, legal representation and publications were unanimously approved.
The board went into closed session to discuss Village employee concerns. The board came out of closed session and took no official action.
