Ashley Monson

Ashley Sue (Wills) Monson was born July 18, 1988, in Wabasha, Minnesota, to David (Louie) and Susan (Leisen) Wills. She graduated from Wabasha- Kellogg High School and spent the past 16 years doing what she loved as a cosmetologist at Pure Identity Salon, where she built lasting friendships and touched the lives of so many clients.
On May 7, 2011, Ashley married the love of her life, Corey Monson. Together they built a beautiful life and were blessed with three wonderful children, Braydon, Annie and Vivian who were the center of her world.
Ashley found happiness in life’s simple moments. She loved spending time on the water, watching the sunset, relaxing on the beach with her feet in the sand, golfing, and making memories with friends. More than anything, Ashley cherished her family. Whether it was a quiet evening together or a special celebration, the time she spent with those she loved meant everything to her. She had a kind heart, a beautiful smile, and a way of making everyone around her feel welcome and cared for. As her godson, Asher, so beautifully said. “no matter where he was if she was there she made it feel like home.” Those words perfectly capture the warmth and comfort Ashley brought to everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Ashley will be deeply missed by her loving husband, Corey; her children Braydon, Annie and Vivian; her parents David (Louie) and Susan Wills and brothers Gregory (Amy) and Brandon (Stephanie). Along with many extended family members, friends, coworkers, and all whose lives were made brighter by knowing her.
Funeral Mass was held 3 p.m. Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at St. Felix Catholic Church, Wabasha.
Visitation was held from 3 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, July 19, 2026, at Abbott Funeral Home in Wabasha.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be directed to the Wabasha Fire Department.
