Charles Marvin Peterson, 81

Charles Marvin Peterson, 81, of Grand Meadow MN passed away peacefully at his home in Pensacola, Florida on March 28, 2017.
Chuck was Born June 10, 1935 to Carl and Marie (Jones) Peterson in Grand Meadow, MN, where he grew up and graduated from Grand Meadow High School.
Chuck served in the US Army and was stationed in Germany.
On June 24, 1962 he married Delores Evenson in Stewartville, MN, they had two children and made their home in Racine, MN. They later divorced.
He spent most of his working carrier at IBM in Rochester MN and retired from IBM in 1985.
After living in Florida, Arizona and Tennessee, Chuck and his partner Patrick Ward eventually settled in Pensacola. Chuck and Pat were united in marriage on April, 1, 2015 in their home.
Chuck enjoyed traveling but when at home could usually be found in his shop working on something.
Chuck is survived by his spouse, Patrick Ward, brother Glenn Peterson, children, Jeff (Tracy) and Debra (Jacob) Hershberger, grandchildren, Bailey, Mathew, Brandon, and Andrew, Anna, Rachel, and Joy and ex-wife, Delores Peterson.
Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Robert Peterson.
A memorial service celebrating the Life of Charles Peterson is planned for a later date.
