Dave Cronin

 The funeral service for David “Dave” Cronin will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 28th, at St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Church in Lake City, with Father Joseph P. Pete and Father James Russell co-officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Lake City.
 Mr. Cronin, 66, of Lake City, passed away on Thursday, January 22, 2015 at Mayo Clinic Hospital – Rochester, Saint Marys Campus.
 David William Cronin was born February 12, 1948 in Lake City to Edward and Elizabeth (Ryan) Cronin. He attended McCahill Institute for his elementary education in Lake City and then graduated from St. Felix High School in Wabasha in 1966. Dave then attended Dunwoody Institute in Minneapolis for one year. Dave married Rita Holst on September 1, 1973 at St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Church in Lake City.
 Dave was employed by Land-O-Lakes Paving for two years, and farmed all of his adult life in Gillford Township in Wabasha County.
 Dave was an active member in the Lake City Sportsman’s Club and the Wabasha County Cattlemen’s Association. He was also a member of St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Church in Lake City and the Knight of Columbus #1865. Dave served on the Gillford Town Board for 30 plus years, and on the Wabasha County FSA Committee for 20 plus years.
 Dave enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, going on road trips, and going to auctions. He enjoyed living his life to the fullest and never took life too seriously.
 Dave is survived by his loving wife, Rita Cronin of Lake City; three daughters, Carrie Cronin of Lake City, Coleen Cronin of Lake City, and Courtney (Kyle) Schuchard of Millville; one son, Chris Cronin of Millville; two grandchildren, Ella and Connor; and two sisters, Geraldine Cronin of West St. Paul, and Bernadette (Joe) Roles of Lindstrom, MN; and a sister-in-law, Betty Cronin of Lake City. Dave was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Gerald.
 Friends and family may visit from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 27th, at Schleicher Funeral Homes, Lake City Chapel in Lake City and one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.
