Diane Christenson

Diane Loretta (Wandrey) Christenson, 72, of Kellogg, Minnesota, passed away on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, with family by her side.
Diane was born on March 28, 1954, in Wabasha, Minnesota, to Loretta (Hoffman) and Arthur Wandrey. She was a lifelong area resident and graduated from Elgin-Millville High School in1972.
In 1973, Diane married George Christenson in Elgin, Minnesota. Together they raised three sons, Dean, Grant, and George “Skip” Christenson III. Her family was always an important part of her life, and she was proud to see her family continue to grow through her grandchildren and great-grandson.
Diane worked as a bookkeeper for more than 20 years before retiring. She had a creative spirit and loved making things with her hands. She especially enjoyed knitting and crocheting and even spun her own yarn from fibers she collected from the sheep and rabbits they raised. She often brought her creations to local craft shows and took great pride in the things she made.
Diane also loved her flower garden, with a particular passion for hostas. Over the years, she collected nearly 300 varieties, making her garden a reflection of the time, patience, and care she put into the things she loved.
Diane was preceded in death by her parents and her grandson, Mack Christenson.
She is survived by her husband, George; sons Dean Christenson, Grant Christenson, and George “Skip” (Sara) Christenson III; grandchildren Abby Christenson, Libby (Adam) Koenigs, Adriahna (Anthony) Mulhern, Leo Christenson, Sam Christenson, Ben Tentis, Grace (Ryan) Baker, George Christenson IV, and Lucy Christenson; and great-grandson Liam Christenson.
