Jeremiah John ‘JJ’ Ramey, 42, Alma

Jeremiah John Ramey of Alma, WI, passed away July 21, 2020 at the age of 42. Born in Manassas, VA, on May 17, 1978, there he worked for Sears automotive. He also lived in Coral Springs FL for several years. After moving to Alma, he worked in Wabasha at Great River Homes.
JJ is lovingly remembered for his competitiveness in all things sports, cribbage and poker. He won several trophies for Texas Holdem and started the Red Ram Poker group in Alma. He loved swimming and the beach, nature walks and animal wildlife and working with his uncle in copper sculptures.
He was an avid fan of REM alternative music group. JJ had a beautiful collection of marbles and displayed them throughout his house in unique containers.
He loved cleanliness, order and practical jokes. Preceded in death by his father Johnnie Ramey of Virginia and survived by his mother Marie Marquardt of Alma and sister Talitha Cornell of Oakville, Ontario including many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins , and nieces.
Memorial service will be held at Talbot Funeral Home in Alma Friday July 31st from 4-7 PM. Family respectfully requests the wearing of masks. The family suggests memorials be made to the Buffalo County Sheriff's Department or the Western Buffalo County Ambulance Service for their equipment upgrade funds.
