Joann ‘Jo’ Isaacson, 79, Green Bay, WI

 Joann “Jo” Isaacson, 79, Green Bay, Wis., died peacefully at a local hospital on April 15, 2017. Born on September 11, 1937, in Lake City, Minnesota, she is the daughter of the late George and Lillian (Geiger) Wieman. Raised in Wabasha, Minnesota, she graduated Wabasha high school in 1955 and was the homecoming queen. On September 12, 1959, she married Dale Isaacson at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Wabasha. Joann and Dale began their family in Minnesota until Dale’s job took them to Green Bay, WI. She was a devoted mother to her two children as well as their friends in the neighborhood, offering rides to practice and home cooked meals. Later in life, Joann continued this with her three grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time at the cabin, fishing, gardening, and spending time with her many neighborhood friends. Joann was an animal lover and raised many pets of her own as well as caring for other family pets.
 Joann is survived by her husband of 57 years, Dale; their two children, Pete (Carla) Isaacson of Amasa, MI, and Barbara (William) Denis of De Pere; three grandchildren, Bailey, Kasey, and Isaac Denis; step-grandson, Logan; one brother, Kenneth Wieman of Wabasha; one sister, Delores Eastman of Minooka, IL; one brother-in-law, Dean Kirkland of Red Wing, MN; many nieces and nephews; and their dog, Buster.
 She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Betty Jane (Donovan) Markey, and Dorothy Kirkland; and one brother-in-law, Norman Eastman.
 Visitation took place at Malcore (West) Funeral Home, 1530 West Mason St., Green Bay, Wis., April 20 from 4-7 p.m., concluding with a service at 7:00 p.m. with the Rev. Ralph Hankermeyer officiating. Burial at Riverview Cemetery in Wabasha, MN.
 In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, donations can be made to the American Lung Association or to the Defenders of Wildlife.
