October 13: American Legion Unit #546 Aux meeting 1 PM at St. Agnes Parish Hall.

October 19: St. Agnes Church Annual Fall Turkey Dinner & Festival - serving from 11 am - 2 pm . Take outs available.

Romaine & Joyce Miller attended the church dinner at Conception on Sunday.

Wednesday visitors of Mary Wolf were sons Tony, Paul & son Jaden, Thursday was brother Leo Miller from Wabasha. Saturday Mary attended the wedding reception of Adam Lyons & Kim Kurth at Slipperys. Sunday visitors after the Conception Church dinner were Gerald & Ruth Klein & Leo Miller,  Steve Wolf, Paul Wolf & Jaden.

Marlyne Schouweiler went to Pepin Monday to watch Alma 8th grade granddaughter Maci Luff’s basketball game at Pepin. Sunday Marlyne picked up dinners from Conception.  

Sunday afternoon visitors of Frank & Rita Norton following the church dinner at Conception were their son Kevin Norton & Hunter, Darla Dohrn, Sonny & Sandy Plank all of Lake City, Ervin & Shirley Ponto of Elgin & Dennis & Kay Breuer, Wabasha.

Thursday visitors of Jan Arens were her daughter Sharon Kachinsky of Edina, her daughter Erin Haessig & Riess of Hastings.

Friday evening visitors of Shirley Huth were her son Bill & Michelle Huth, Brandon & Mason.

Friday Rosie Lamey & Mike went to Treasure Island where they played bingo for Mike’s birthday. Saturday Rosie went to the music under the bridge. Sunday guests of Mike &  Paula (Johnson) Knoll, Evan & Elissa Kay at Eyota following Elissa’s baptism at Faith United Methodist Church included George & Rosie Lamey, Shorty & Louise Johnson, Everett Johnson & Peg Baurenfiend, Marliyn Hansen from Eagan & Don & Phyllis Bittner from Fountain City plus other relatives also celebrating Elissa’s 1st birthday which was the 3rd.

Gene Lamey played cards Tuesday at Buck’s Bar. Wednesday visitors of Gene & Marj were her sister Sharon & Allyn Wachholz, rural Chatfield who brought a load of goodies from their garden.  Friday Gene & Marj, Barb Theuner, Mark & Kelly Theuner, Allyn & Sharon, Barry & Earlene Simonson of Austin all went to the Ground Round in Winona to celebrate Mark & Kelly’s 31st wedding anniversary which was the 1st & Gene & Marj’s 69th which was the 3rd. They all went back to the Lamey home for cards & ice cream. Saturday Barry & Earlene who are spending some weekends at their summer home near Minneiska getting ready to head South soon for the winter were visitors at the Lamey home & Barb Theuner joined them for an afternoon of cards before they all went to Yahooligans for shrimp.

Monday Maxine Vogt accompanied Kathy Walters to the performance of “Grease” at the Jon Hassler Theatre in Plainview. Saturday she attended the wedding of Kim Kurth & Adam Lyons at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, rural Plainview & the reception at Slipperys. Sunday Maxine accompanied John & Diane Rivers to the home of Diane’s sister-in-law Debbie Stroot at Woodbury for a birthday party for Diane. Also attending were Jim & Renee Vogt of Eagan & Diane’s son Alex Stroot from Vancouver, WA.

Marilyn Crowley spent Friday, Saturday & Sunday with their son Ryan & Sara Crowley, Vincent, Henry, Samantha & Thomas at Stillwater. Tom attended the Conception Church dinner Sunday.

Monday night Hermie & Carol Gander attended grandson Austin Gander’s football game at Elgin. Tuesday evening they & Hermie Evers of Wabasha were supper guests of her brother Darrel & Darlene Larson at Nelson. Saturday afternoon the Ganders hosted the annual family  & friends hayride & cookout after. Sunday afternoon surprise visitors were Hermie’s sister Jean Lawler & her son Mike & Deb Lawler all of Rochester. Supper guests were Hermie Evers, Darrel & Darlene Larson.
