Lucille Gertrude Dick

Lucille Gertrude Dick, 93 of Wabasha, passed away Monday, March 20, 2023, at Gundersen St. Elizabeth Health Care Center, Wabasha, MN.
Lucille was born July 29, 1929, in Conception, MN to Rose (Weber) and Charles Hielscher. She graduated from Plainview High School in 1947. On July 20, 1948, she married Leo Dick at St. Joseph’s Church in Red Wing, MN. Together they had nine children.
She worked at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Wabasha as the Director of Medical Records for 20 years, before retiring in 1985. She was a member of St. Felix Catholic Church, Wabasha, and St. Elizabeth’s Hospital Auxiliary. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, fishing, walking, dancing, camping, and travel.
She is survived by her nine children, Jim (Judy) Dick, Minnetonka, Minn., Bill Dick (Barb), Winona, Jeani (David) Wodele, Wabasha, Ken (Diane) Dick, Rochester, Marilyn Dick (John), St. Louis Park, MN, Marie (Phil) Hendel, Wabasha, MN, and Dan (Jayne) Dick, Glen (Cheri) Dick, and David (Amy) Dick, all of Wabasha; 17 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law: Eleanor Dick and Sharon Dick; brother-in-law Ed Dick; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; five sisters; and a brother.
A Funeral Mass will be 11:30 a.m. Thursday, March 23, 2023, at St. Felix Catholic Church, Wabasha, MN with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. at the church. Interment will be at St. Felix Catholic Cemetery, Wabasha, MN.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to be made to the Wabasha Athletic Complex, PO Box 268, Wabasha, MN 55981.
