Marie Passe, Wabasha

 Marie Passe, died Monday, July 1, 2019, surrounded by her loving family. She was born May 10, 1925 in Wabasha to Gregor and Johanna (Drees) Wobbe. She graduated with honors from St. Felix High School, worked for a Wabasha doctor and met a handsome young farmer, Martin Passe. They married in 1947, raising five sons and three daughters on their dairy farm on Wabasha Hill. Marie and Martin enjoyed traveling, having family and friends at the farm, and attending their grandchildren’s events. Marie was active in the St. Felix parish, was chairwoman of the National Council of Catholic Women’s International Affairs Commission, and very active in the St. Elizabeth Hospital Auxiliary. She was a tireless volunteer installing Lifeline alerts for more than 30 years and sewed many quilts and made ditty bags for charitable organizations. In addition to her love of gardening, Marie was renowned for her cooking, baking, and canning. Her pies, jams, and desserts were donated for many church events, and her chicken soup with homemade noodles was pure love poured into a bowl for family and friends around her kitchen table. Her cooking was only equal to her kindness and loving heart.
 Marie will be missed by her children, Marty (Kathy), Ron (Mary), Sharon (Bill Sichel), Pete (Kathy), Kathy (Jack Robertson), Steve (Barb), Gerri, Tom (Maryann); grandchildren, Sarah, Dan (Kristen Hamilton), Cheryl (Jason) Holland, Ryan (Maranda), Emily (Justin) Wallerich, Billy Sichel (Michael Hoeweler), Jenny Sichel, Andy, Ben (Naomi), Eric, Heather Robertson (John Ramirez), Kyle (Katherine) Robertson, Heidi Robertson (Jeff O’Rourke), Andrea (Alex Cady), Theresa, Michelle; great-grandchildren, Adylena, Wyatt, Madelyn, Paige, Cameron, Sidney, and Bernard; brother, Robert (Ann) Wobbe, sister-in-law, Tina Wobbe; and many nieces and nephews. Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Martin, parents, Gregor and Johanna Wobbe, brothers, Harry, Joseph, Alphonsus and Gregor Wobbe, sisters, Anita Glomski and Delores Langanki.
 A funeral Mass was celebrated Friday, July 5, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Felix Catholic Church in Wabasha. Burial was at St. Felix Cemetery followed by a lunch at the Wabasha VFW Club. Family and friends called at Abbott Funeral Home in Wabasha on Thursday, July 4, from 4-7 pm, and at the church one hour before the service.
 Memorials are preferred to St. Elizabeth’s Community Development Foundation, 1200 5th Grant Blvd W, Wabasha, MN, 55981 or to St. Felix School, 130 E 3rd St, Wabasha, MN, 55981. The Abbott Funeral Home of Wabasha was in charge of arrangements. www.abbottfh.com
