Marsha Lynn Cockrell, 49, Wabasha

 Marsha Lynn Cockrell, age 49, of Wabasha, formerly of Mississippi, died early Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Wabasha. She was born July 8, 1966 in New Orleans, LA, the daughter of Eulle and Alice (Jones) Westbrook. She married Jerry Cockrell December 31, 1988 in Bay Springs, MS. Marsha earned her nursing degree in Mississippi and worked as a nurse in emergency rooms in several hospitals in Mississippi. After becoming disabled she became a homemaker to her husband and two children. The family moved to Wabasha in 2006 following Hurricane Katrina.
 She is survived by her husband, Jerry Cockrell, son, Phillip Cockrell, and daughter, Rachel Cockrell, all of Wabasha, MN; sisters, Judy Thornton, Bay Springs, MS, Betsy Downs, Petal, MS; brothers, Mike Westbrook, Stringer, MS, Christopher Westbrook, New Orleans, LA; nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eulle and Alice Westbrook and one sister, Cheryl Westbrook.
 Following her wishes, Marsha body has been cremated. A time for friends of Marsha and Jerry to come together for remembrance and comfort was held on Monday February 8, 2016 from 6-8pm at the Abbott Funeral Home in Wabasha.
