New Farmers Market location under the bridge

The Wabasha Farmer's Market opened this year in a new spot under the bridge, just across from Herb and Arrow. June 4 marked their first day at the new location. Vendors, many familiar faces around the community, set up their tables in the shade and under awnings, chatting with regulars and greeting newcomers. The space under the bridge offered plenty of parking and relief from the sun, while a steady breeze off the river kept the atmosphere light and comfortable. The market officially opened with a ribbon cutting at 3 pm. Mayor Durand was present and thanked everyone for the community support and effort that kept the market going.
The Wabasha Farmer's Market will run on Wednesdays from 3 pm to 6 pm until October 1 this year. Local vendors will offer fresh fruit and vegetables, eggs, meats, and flowers, all of which are grown and raised nearby. Most vendors accept payments with EBT/SNAP, debit and credit cards, and WIC Farmers Market Nutritional Program Vouchers.
Three Rivers Community Action partnered with the Wabasha Farmer's Market this year to make the market more accessible to community members. Three Rivers Community Action is a nonprofit human service organization founded by local residents in 1966. Its mission is to partner with communities to address basic human needs and improve quality of life across its service area.
