Peggy Lou Dwyer ‘Hein’, 91, Wabasha

 Peggy Lou Dwyer (Hein), 91, Thursday, Feb 23, 2017, at Seasons Hospice in Rochester, MN. Peggy was born May 3, 1925, in Dover, MN to Otto and Maybelle (Parsons) Hein. Peggy married LaVerne (Larry) Dwyer on April 14, 1947, and they lived in Rochester, MN. Together, by the mid-50’s, they had launched and were successfully operating Larry’s Novelty Company in S.E. MN. They later sold it, and it is now known as D & R Star, providing coin-operated vending, amusement, and ATM’s. They retired along the Mississippi River on Teepeota Point between Wabasha and Kellogg MN. They later divorced. Peggy was an avid produce gardener and loved canning.
 Peggy is survived by two sons, Larry (Patty) Dwyer of rural Oronoco, MN, Dan O. Dwyer of Mpls, MN, and one daughter, Kelly Jo (John) Hansen of Prescott, WI., one sister, Mary Jo Schmidt of FL, one brother Lyman (Mary) Hein of Rochester, MN, one stepsister Judy (Bob) Putland of CA, two half sisters, Robin (Roger) McCullar of AZ and Connie Wallace of MT. She leaves behind five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Blake D. (Anita) Hein of Winona, MN in 2009.
