Raymond A. Eversman

Raymond Allen was born November 30, 1948, in Wabasha to Vincent and Isabelle “Dolly” (Schones) Eversman. He graduated from St. Felix High School, Wabasha in 1966. He then graduated from Winona Technical College in 1968 in auto body. He served in the US Army and was honorably discharged. He was formerly employed as a milk truck driver, then Sand and Gravel, a truck driver at Crenlo, and for Wal-Mart as an over the road truck driver from August 29, 1994 to April 25, 2015. He then fulfilled his dream and owned his own truck from 2015 to 2018.
He was a member of St. Felix Catholic Church. He enjoyed spending time working on his farm when he could get home. He enjoyed always having a corvette. He was a devoted son especially in his parents’ later years.
He is survived by a sister Mary Jane (Paul) Kruger, Wabasha; a brother Paul (Vicki) Eversman, Wabasha; nieces, nephews, other relatives and a special friend Jocelyne C. West.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Ralph Eversman.
The visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, July 14, 2020, at Abbott Funeral Home, Wabasha. Due to the pandemic, it is recommended to wear masks.
Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, July 15, 2020, at St. Felix Catholic Church, Wabasha, with Rev. Glenn Frerichs officiating. Masks are strongly encouraged in the church. Interment will be at St. Felix Cemetery, Wabasha. Military rites will be provided by Burkhardt-Roemer Post 4086; Wabasha American Legion Post# 50; and the MNARNG Honor Guard.
The memorials are preferred to St. Felix School or St. Elizabeth Foundation.
