Mr. Wolf, 57, of rural Kellogg passed Friday afternoon, September 11, 2015, after a courageous battle for the past 3 years with Glioblastoma.
Richard Joseph Wolf was born February 24, 1958, to John and Mary (Miller) Wolf Jr. in Wabasha. He grew up in the Kellogg area and attended Conception Rural School and graduated from Plainview Community Schools in 1976. On June 15, 1985, he married Sharon Tentis at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Kellogg.
Rick farmed all his life following his high school graduation in rural Kellogg. He and Sharon raised their 4 rambunctious boys while farming. He really enjoyed riding the 4-Wheeler to go out to check on his beef cattle and crops.
Rick especially loved to spend time with his family and friends. He enjoyed going road tripping with his buddies Ernie and Brian to check out auctions and machinery, and then eating out was the highlight of each trip. Rick thought nothing of stopping on a busy road to retrieve tarp straps. Rick, Ernie, and Brian had an ongoing contest for collecting pens from various implement dealers over the years. He also found much enjoyment with “Farm Friday” at Kathy Henderson’s.
Rick is survived by his wife, Sharon, the love of his life; four sons, Mitchell (Kim) Wolf of Elgin, Joseph, Cody, and Thomas Wolf of Kellogg; his mother, Mary Wolf of Wabasha; two sisters, Lin (Dave) Heddlesten and Pat (Mark) Therneau, both of Plainview; six brothers, Gary (Carol) Wolf, Ron (Lyn) Wolf, and Ted (Lori) Wolf, all of Kellogg, Paul (Leann) Wolf, Steven (Annie) Wolf, and Tony (Jodie) Wolf, all of Plainview; mother-in-law, Mary Tentis; four brother-in-laws, Mike (partner Jeff Farley) Tentis, Jim (Jill) Tentis, David (Lynn) Tentis, and Jeff Tentis; one sister-in-law, Karen (Randy) Siem. He was preceded in death by his father, sister, Bonnie Wolf Wadley, and father-in-law, Bill Tentis.
Friends and family may visit from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 15, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in rural Kellogg and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the church. Memorials are preferred to the Family’s Choice.
