Richard J. ‘Dick’ Miller, 72, Kellogg

 Richard J. ‘Dick’ Miller, age 72, of Kellogg, died Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born August 12, 1943 in Reads Landing, the son of Arthur and Genevieve (Schmit) Miller. He married Kay Drake October 15, 1960 at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Kellogg. Dick worked in his earlier years as a farmer in Highland Township of Wabasha County. He also did logging and he worked as a manager for a chip plant for the Horner-Waldorf Company.
 He enjoyed deer hunting and he was an avid Minnesota Vikings fan. His greatest enjoyment was spending time with his family.
 Dick is survived by his wife, Kay Miller, Kellogg, MN; children and spouses, Gerri and Wayne Boelk, Barnes, WI, Mary and Randy Fellows, Wabasha, MN, Brenda Burgland, Arlington, TX, Jodi and Mark Hauer, West Concord, MN, Marty and Lori Miller, Kellogg, MN; eleven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother and sisters-in-law, Eugene and Darlene Miller, Theilman, MN, Rosemary Miller, Plainview, MN; nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Genevieve Miller, brothers, Harold and Lawrence Miller and sister, Marian Evers.
 A funeral Mass was be offered on Monday, May 9, 2016 at 11:00am at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Kellogg with the Reverend Monsignor Thomas Cook officiating. Interment was in Greenfield Cemetery, rural Kellogg. Casket bearers were Wayne and Ryan Miller, Randy Fellows, Dirk Drake, Dan Miller and Marty Miller. Family and friends called at the Abbott Funeral Home in Wabasha on Sunday, May 8, 2016 from 4-8pm and at the church on Monday one hour before the Mass.
