Steven Piere Juliot, 67, Pepin, WI

 Steven Pierre Juliot, age 67, of Pepin, died Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Wabasha. He was born October 23, 1948 at St. Elizabeth’s in Wabasha October 23, 1948, the son of John and Lucielle (Baader) Juliot. After graduating from Pepin High School he was drafted into the U. S. Army and served three years, 1968-1971, in the 63rd Armor 1st Infantry Division in Vietnam. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal and Vietnam Service Medal. He married Mary O’Keefe April 18, 1970 at St. John’s Catholic Church in Plum City,, WI. After returning stateside he was stationed at Fort Riley in Kansas where the couple lived for 1 1⁄2 years. After discharge they moved back to Pepin. Steve was employed by Meyer Industries of Hager City, WI for 39 years working as a quality control welding inspector. He retired in 2013.
 He was a member of the James Amdahl VFW Post #6201 of Nelson, WI and a member and currently serving as assistant fire chief for the Pepin Fire Department. He enjoyed deer hunting in his earlier years. He also enjoyed fishing and boating on his pontoon, especially with his grandchildren. He loved working in his yard and having a meticulous lawn.
 Steven is survived by his wife, Mary Juliot, Pepin, WI; sons and daughter-in-law, Nickolas John Juliot, Pepin, WI, Matthew Steven Juliot, Pepin, WI, Joshua Pierre and Kellie Juliot, Wabasha, MN; two grandchildren, Joseph Allen Pierre Juliot and Kassidy Grace Juliot; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ronald and Mary Juliot, Pepin, WI, Jerome and Chaywan Juliot, Khonkaen, Thailand; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Lucielle ‘Billie’ Juliot and one brother, James Juliot.
 His body has been cremated in accordance with his wishes. Family and friends called at the Abbott Funeral Home in Wabasha on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 from 4-8pm at which time a prayer service was held officiated by Deacon John Hust. Interment was the following day, Wednesday, at 11:00am at Oakwood Cemetery in Pepin. Military rites were performed by the James Amdahl VFW Post #6201 from Nelson, WI. Memorials are preferred to the Pepin Fire Department. The Abbott Funeral Home of Wabasha was in charge of arrangements. www.abbottfh.com
