Carolyn Jean Helmueller
Carolyn Jean (Bechel) Helmueller, 70, of Plum City WI passed away on Thursday, August 11, 2022 peacefully at home with family by her side. First born of twelve children on Jan 1, 1952 the daughter of Lawrence and Bernadine (Webb) Bechel.
Carolyn graduated in 1970 from Elmwood High School. She went onto complete X-Ray Tech School in 1972. Employed by various hospitals and clinics before accepting a position at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital in 1975. That position began an adventure in The Last Frontier. She worked as an X-Ray Technician and later transitioned to be a Mammogram Technologist. She cherished the comradery of the Fairbanks Aging Radiologic Technologist Society. In 2016 she retired and in 2018 moved to Anchorage, AK to be closer to family. Carolyn enjoyed playing with her dog Nanook, stained glass, water color painting, puzzles, gardening, gatherings with friends and watching her grandchildren’s sports and musical performances.
She is survived by her Husband, Richard Harnois; Children Traci (George) Vraniak, Terry (Julie) Helmueller; Grandchildren Riley, Noah, Dylan and Kiana; Mother, Bernadine Bechel; Siblings Al (Betty), Roger (Ruth), Tom (Tammi), Ron (Cindy), Rick (Amy) and Mike (Kelly) Bechel, Barb (Pete) Manship, Sue (Jerry) Bauer, Jan Bechel, Jean (Scott) Wolske and Sister-In-Law Anita Bechel; other close family and friends. Preceded in death by her father Lawrence Bechel and brother Mark Bechel.
A Memorial Mass is being held in Plum City WI August 27, St. John’s Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. The family will have a Celebration of Life Ceremony on September 24 at 11:30 a.m. at 885 179th Street, Dresser WI, and spread her ashes at a later date.
