Daniel “Red” Bernard Seipel

Daniel “Red” Bernard Seipel, 80, of Pepin, WI died Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at his home. He was born December 24, 1941 in Plum City, WI; son of Theodore and Evelyn (Rageth) Seipel.
He graduated from Arkansaw High School. Following high school, Dan joined the United States Army.
On August 5, 1961 he married Patricia Hovland in Durand, WI. They lived in Beloit, WI, where Dan worked at Warner Brake & Clutch for 33 ½ years. He also attended Blackhawk Technical College. Dan and Pat moved back to the area in 1999, Dan always wanted to be back here because he loved the country.
Dan was a member of the Maiden Rock American Legion. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved being outside gardening, looking for ginseng and picking morel mushrooms. When he was younger he loved to ride his Harley’s. He had several.
He is survived by his wife, Patritica Seipel of Pepin, WI; daughter, Tammy Cornell of Nelson, WI; son, Daniel (Sue) Seipel Jr. of Beloit, WI;granddaughter, Jessica Lynn Braden of Springfield, MO; God child, Nicole Lincoln of Beloit, WI; sisters, Jerry (Jim) Hetrick, Sue Ann Seipel (Rick Caturia); other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Theodore and Evelyn (Rageth) Seipel; sisters, Joyce Murray, Shelvidene Sutherland, Betty Jean Seipel; brothers, Ronald and Raymond Seipel.
Funeral services were at 1:00 pm on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at the Community of Christ Church in Arkansaw, WI with Pastor Dan Richardson officiating. Visitation was one hour prior to services at the church. Burial with military honors was at the Free Home Cemetery in rural Plum City, WI.
